PIL (Pacific International Lines) recently announced the launch of a new weekly direct service KCS from China and South Korea to Southeast Asia, connecting the major ports of China, South Korea, the Strait of Malacca, and Vietnam. The new service links 9 major ports in China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
The KCS service will commence its maiden voyage from Busan Port, South Korea on July 6. PIL and its partners will jointly deploy a group of vessels with an average capacity of 1800 - 2200 TEU for operation. The port rotation is: Busan - Gwangyang - Shanghai - Shekou - Singapore - Port Klang (West Port) - Penang - Singapore - Ho Chi Minh (Cat Lai) - Nansha - Busan.
Surendran Mathilagath, General Manager of PIL Asia Service Division, stated: The launch of the KCS route is part of PILs ongoing efforts to expand its Asian service network and provide high-quality services to customers. The greatest advantage of this route lies in its extensive coverage, connecting nine major ports across China, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. This enables us to offer efficient transportation services and more attractive pricing to our customers. At the same time, it will further enhance connectivity between clients in Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and other regions worldwide, meeting market demands.
